Teach USA | Teacher Intern/Trainee

Teach USA and Teacher Intern/Trainee Programs


Explore two transformative programs designed to enhance your professional skills and cultural experiences in the USA: Teach USA and the Teacher Intern/Trainee Program. Whether you are an experienced teacher looking for international opportunities or a recent graduate seeking practical work experience, we have the perfect program for you.


Teach USA Program

If you want to elevate your teaching career, the Teach USA program is your gateway to professional and cultural growth. This program offers experienced teachers full-time teaching positions in the USA, providing an opportunity to immerse themselves in a new educational and cultural environment.


Eligibility:

  • Currently working as a teacher with at least two years of full-time teaching experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a subject you intend to teach.
  • Meet USA teaching eligibility standards (e.g., criminal background checks).
  • Demonstrate good reputation and character.


If not currently working as a teacher, you must:

  • Be within 12 months of completing a Master’s degree in education or a related teaching field.
  • Meet teaching qualifications in your home country.
  • Have at least two years of full-time teaching experience within the last eight years.


Teacher Intern/Trainee Program

Designed for recent graduates and professionals in hospitality and related fields, this program bridges the gap between formal education and practical work experience. Participants acquire international standards of professionalism, intercultural skills, and invaluable hands-on training.


Trainee:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education awarded more than 12 months prior to the start date plus 1 year of work experience in the field OR 5 years of experience without a degree.

- Training focuses on advancing skills to be used in your home country.


Intern:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education awarded within 12 months of the start date.

- No prior work experience required.

- Provides entry-level training tailored to your skills.


Program Duration: 

  • Minimum of one year, with opportunities for extension.


Additional Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited university.
  • Knowledge of assigned subjects and curriculum.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.


 

Program Cost:

  • Registration: JMD 7,000.
  • Program fee: USD 4,250.
  • SEVIS Fee: USD 220 (applicable to all participants).
  • Visa fee: JMD 40,000
